Client Install

Pre-requirements

Extract the whole archive with full paths into your Quake4 directory (take care not installing it in q4base ). If you succeed you’ll see a new folder called “gtr” where you can put your config etc. in. That’s it :)

If you want to start GTR directly use the following commandline:

  • Linux: quake4 +set fs_game gtr
  • Windows: Quake4.exe +set fs_game gtr

Note: if you have an older version of GameType-Revolution, we recommend to delete the gtr directory before installing.

Server Install

You have to run GTR as own mod, and not as pk4 addon.

To do so, you need to specifiy the mod folder in your server startupline, e.g:

  • Linux: q4ded.x86 +set fs_game gtr +exec server.cfg
  • Windows: Quake4Ded.exe +set fs_game gtr +exec server.cfg
